jon got his first tics today. as in IN HIS BODY!!! i was soooo grossed out.
hudson has had them several times and we just pull them out and he is fine . . . but to SEE them in jon's skin! moving around! ew!!!
anyway, they were at an angle where he couldn't pull them out himself . . . so I had to do it.
gross.
sadly, they WERE deer tics, so he is at risk of having contracted lime's disease (there are several kinds of tics here, but deer tics are the ones that spread the disease). there is really nothing we can do except to keep an eye out for the symptoms . . . glad he has health insurance. keep his health in your thoughts - esp since he is finishing up his semester this month!

Lime's disease is not a trivial thing. Hopefully, he is o.k. Praying that it is so. There is a lady in our congregation that has it and is doing some treatments. If you want info., let us know.
