can't believe we already made it through our first year!

well . . . this past MONTH has been nuts.

jon FINISHED his first year at BROWN!!! woot! he finished ALL his papers, turned them in and got ALL A's!!!

for the past week, jon's mom has been visiting us. she flew out to see where we live, sightsee a bit and watch jon graduate. After your first year at Brown, the grad students receive a Master's and get to take part in the graduation ceremony. the ceremony was cool. robert redford was there. jon looked so handsome in his cap and gown.

also included in the week: a trip to boston, a trip to newport, a viewing of indiana jones AND prince caspian, ice cream, lots of PACKING and MOVING, an art opening (for a friend), and me dropping jon and hudson off at the airport this morning. they are flying to juneau alaska where we will be spending our summer working and living with friends.

we got up at 4am this morning. i drove the boys up to the airport, dropped them off and was home before 7. i don't have to work until 11. and i don't leave for alaska until tuesday. that means the rest of the packing has been left to me. super.

i think i've rounded up a few people to help move all the furniture over to the new place on sunday. the rest of the stuff i can just pack into the car for the summer (we are parking the car in a friend's garage).

we are super excited about our new apartment. not only is there more space (and one maybe two more roommates!), the space is MUCH more beautiful as well as the fact that we know the other tenants in the building and we've already had a bbq with them followed by a round of Cranium. awesome. it's gonna be fun.

now i am off to take care of some biznass before work.
