halloween!

so, i thought it might be time to finally be getting around to posting pictures of our halloween costumes! i know it's a little late and all the fuss from halloween has died down already. . . . but now is better than never right?

so, jon labored long and hard on his costume . . . he was: THE JOKER. and he was creeeeeeeepy looking:



he even shaved his face for the costume. that's dedication!

i was a tree . . . i bought some fake leaves and put them in my hair and wore a brown dress. sort of simple and cheap, but it was fun! plus people tried to get all deep on me and ask things like "are you the spirit of autumn?" "are you a nymph of the forest?"

and i would say "i'm a tree"

jon is the HGSA (history grad student association) activities coordinator this year at school . . . so it was up to us (with some help from our friends stevie and emily) to plan the HGSA halloween party. it turned out to be pretty fun! people brought their own drinks and snacks and we brought some scary music and some dancing music . . . and pumpkins to carve, temporary tattoos, etc. good times.

in other news: friday night jon and i saw our friend caroline (a girl i waitress with) in the musical Cabaret, yesterday we drove to Boston to see David Bazan perform (yay!!!) and today, we went to a birthday party for floss. now i am going to make baklava with my neighbor teegan and then jon and i are headed over to lupo's heartbreak hotel to see Iron and Wine in concert tonight!

we've had a busy weekend . . .
